Boys & Girls Club of Joliet: Fostering Career Pathways and Safe Spaces on Clinton Street

The George Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club on East Clinton Street provides a structured, positive after-school haven for hundreds of Joliet youth. With dedicated teen facilities, academic tutoring, and career exploration events with local employers, the club prepares young residents for bright futures.

Operating out of a historic 1928 brick building at 226 E. Clinton Street, the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet has guided generations of local youth through academics, recreation, and character development. Membership includes daily healthy meals, tutoring in reading and STEM, and recreation in the gymnasium and Olympic-sized pool.

Recent investments led by executive leadership transformed the second floor into a modern Teen Center. Through an on-site Comcast Lift Zone providing high-speed digital connectivity and interactive career fairs connecting youth with local professionals, the club gives teenagers tangible pathways toward college, trades, and rewarding employment.
